Learn the rules well. So you can break them.

“Learn the rules like a pro, so you can break them like an artist.”

-Picasso

In one of my previous posts, I talked about why structure matters in storytelling.

Vision → Problem → Solution.

That framework is powerful.
It works and earns attention.

But here’s a twist.

Once you have mastered the structure, you can bend the rules.

Maybe the product demo becomes the hero of your story.

Maybe an augmented reality experience that surprises and delights becomes a different way you tell your story.

Rules give your story clarity.

Breaking them intentionally, gives it memorability.

Attention isn’t just captured by clarity- it’s held and sustained by surprise.
